Summer Online Announcement
April 03, 2020
With the ongoing uncertainty regarding the coronavirus pandemic and related timing of return to more normal operations, Southeastern must move forward proactively to ensure students have the best possible opportunities to continue pursuit of their educational goals.
Because it is impossible at this time to guarantee the ability to welcome everyone back on campus by the start of the summer semester, the decision has been made to move components of the summer semester to online instruction. The regular eight-week full summer semester and the first four-week semester (Term 1) will include only online classes. Given that the second four-week semester (Term 2) does not begin until June 30, the decision to include face-to-face classes in that term will be determined later.
Making this decision now enhances students’ ability to plan and make decisions about registering for summer semester, as well as providing faculty more time to plan for online learning. A broad range of courses will be offered for all three terms of the summer semester in order to allow students to continue making progress toward their degrees.
Thank you all for your continued patience and perseverance. These are challenging times, but Lion Pride runs deep and whatever the situation, the Southeastern family endures and continues to strive for excellence.
