Credit Intern Opening at First Guaranty Bank

Function:            

Performs assigned duties, responsibilities, and studies while participating in a formal credit training   program.  Becomes familiar with all of the operations and procedures of the credit department. Employed on a part time basis.

 

Has responsibilities such as:

 

1.       Developing credit information for use by senior credit analysts, lending officers, or committees           in the making of lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.

 

               a.            Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including                                     reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and                                           branches.

               b.            Analyzes financial statements and related material.

               c.            Prepares summary, presents facts, and occasionally offers opinions                                                   concerning credit-worthiness.

 

2.       Providing credit information and references for customers, loan officers, or other agencies as                requested.

 

                a.            Ensures that all credit files are kept current with latest financial statements,                                        agency reports, etc.

                b.            Contacts all available sources of information.

                c.            Assembles all pertinent information and reports.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

                Minimum GPA of 3.00

                Enrolled in a business related major (i.e. accounting, finance, etc.)

                Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week

Financial Management Scholars Program

The Financial Management Scholars Program is a paid summer internship program, It provides highly-qualified college students majoring in economic, business administration, finance, accounting, and related fields (including mathematics and statistics) with hands-on experience evaluating bank operations, business planning, rick management strategies, and consumer protection practices.

Program participants will attend a one-week orientation session in Washington, DC,, followed by 9-10 weeks of on-the-job training in one of the FDIC's field offices. Participants will return to Washington, DC, for the program's capstone week to share their experiences and participate in a skills assessment. At the end of the program, some program participants will receive post-graduation employment offers with the FDIC.

Associates will support senior researchers in applied economic analysis. Interpreting data, writing reports, and making constructive recommendations.

Paid Insurance Internship Opportunity, Located in Baton Rouge

We are looking for professional students that may be looking for a career in insurance. This is an entry level position with our Financial Institutions Department. The department is currently the largest Financial Institution Department in the south and known for our expertise and professionalism. I have also attached a brochure that includes the Financial institutions Department if a student is interested and would like some more information.

Below I included the bio of the manager of the department as well as myself so the potential candidate feels comfortable that they would be learning from an extremely knowledgeable staff. Jeanette Credo is Senior Vice President, Financial Institutions Department Manager/ Producer at Community Financial Insurance Center. Jeanette has over 40 years of experience in the Insurance and Financial Services industries. She is responsible for the development and management of strategic relationships with financial institution accounts. Before joining Community Financial Insurance Center, Jeanette was an Assistant Vice President with Zurich North America Financial Enterprises where her emphasis was on underwriting and sales of Financial Enterprises products to distributors, banking associations and financial institution customers. As part of her role as a Financial Services Executive, she established strong market presence for Zurich in Louisiana and surrounding states by aggressively pursuing new business opportunities, practicing customer-focused relationship management and actively participating in the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA).

Ricky A. Credo graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a Bachelors of Arts in Small Business Management. He joined Community Financial Insurance Center as a Financial Institutions Producer in 2015. Prior to joining CFIC, Ricky was a successful banker at a Regional Banking Institution. Ricky brings his years in banking to Community Banks by assisting them in their Professional, Cyber & Property and Casualty Insurance needs. Ricky is responsible for analyzing and tailoring Community Banks' coverage to their specific needs which in turn will help reduce financial loss to the institution and shareholders. Ricky is a frequent presenter at the Louisiana Bankers Association (LBA).
