Bachelors: Graduated in 2005 with a B.Sc., Chemistry from Moi University in Eldoret, Kenya. Later in 2008, I joined LSU for a PhD program in Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) and graduated in Fall of 2015. I taught Organic chemistry at LSU for a semester before joining SLU.

MyPhD Thesis research: I worked under Dr. Kevin Smith majoring in organic synthesis. Thesis titled ‘New Strategies for the Synthesis of Porphyrinoids’. In this research, the syntheses of important porphyrin like molecules for cancer therapy, bio-imaging, and material science applications, were accomplished using organometallics, analytical and organic chemistry applications.

Interests: I enjoy synthesis and teaching, but playing music complements my love for science.
