A minor in creative writing consists of 18 hours and includes the following course requirements:

• 300/400 level courses (3 hours must be modern or contemporary literature, as

approved by the Department Head) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 6 hours

• Elective 300/400 level courses in English or Independent Study . . . . . . . . . . . 3 hours
