The Department of Health and Human Sciences offers three undergraduate programs in communication sciences and disorders, family and consumer sciences, and social work, as well as two graduate programs in communication sciences and disorders and counseling.
Our goal is to provide students with opportunities to grow personally and professionally, preparing them for their chosen careers.
Hands-on learning is emphasized through internships, service learning, and clinical practicum
The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic serves as a teaching facility as well as a service center for community members with communication disorders
The Discovery Project, supported through the social work program, is a family resource center providing services to families in south Louisiana
Our department's flexible course offerings include 100% online and blended classes.
Radiologic Sciences: Effective Spring 2014, this program has been discontinued. Current students in the program have until December 2014 to complete their degree program. No new students are being accepted into this program.
Each program within the department is accredited by its national accrediting organization. These designations reflect the quality education our students can expect to receive during their time at Southeastern.
