Brina Bourliea Faciane has performed and taught in Brina FacianeUnited States, Canada, Italy, Cyprus, and most recently Strasbourg, France at the 17th World Saxophone Congress with Quartetto Obrigado. She was 3rd place winner at the MTNA National Soloist Competition.  As a proponent of performing and commissioning new music she has worked on collaborative projects for saxophone and electronics and saxophone quartet with notable young composers Ben Stonaker and Christopher Scinto. Previously she was assistant to the director of Festival Internationale del Sassofono in Faenza, Italy. She is a member of the Prodigal Players which recently finished a local tour of Terrance Mahady's modern arrangement of Stravinsky's The Soldier’s Story. Since settling in Louisiana she teaches privately and in the St. Tammany Parish Talented Arts Program. Students from her private studio consistently earn top spots in the LMEA All-State Honor Bands and Jazz Ensembles.  Mrs. Faciane holds degrees from Arizona State University and Louisiana State University. She is a professional member of the North American Saxophone Alliance and Music Educators National Conference.
