The Center for Student Excellence (CSE) is now offering online tutoring through a partnership with NetTutor Online Tutoring Service in an effort to provide students with additional course support beyond The Center's normal operating hours. The partnership is focused on student success and retention.
Dr. Lorett Swank, CSE Director, said, "Face-to-face tutoring may be the most effective method of tutoring, but The Center's space and time limitations emphasize the need for expanded services for students who may need late night help or have other time limitations."
Access to this service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year through your Moodle homepage under "My Courses." Your tutoring options will be listed by the subject name followed by "NetTutor" for each course that has tutoring available.
Students can interact with live tutors using features such as an interactive whiteboard for chatting or creating drawings and symbols (for help with math, chemistry, or physics problems). The Paper Center accepts physics lab reports for review.
Sessions are archived, so you can access any help you've received as well as any questions that may have been asked by others (and their answers, too!).
