Sugar mill on farm of Mr. George Hollister, now L. S. Jackson
home. Mr. Hollister, Mr. Bert Branch, and Mr. Elmer Parker came
from Michigan and worked at the thriving sugar mill in 1895.
Written on back: “John’s on wagon.” Photographer of original,
Stillman & Saunders, Hammond, LA. Size of original 5″ x 7

Baskets full of food distributed by Fire Department and Town in
1927, 1928, 1929, and 1930 and perhaps later. sitting in front
people standing on cars. Mr. E. D. Parker, city clerk, past mayor,
is man in the suit and tie in the center, third from the left.
Photo indicates Ponchatoula takes care of its own. Photo reproduced
in the Ponchatoula Centennial Book.

tracks in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, is the property of the National
Historical Railroad Society. It was in use on regular passenger
runs during the 1940s (drawing by Midge White.)
