The Dance Program at Southeastern is housed within the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. Students have the option of pursuing a Bachelor of General Studies with a Dance Concentration or a Dance Minor. See Dance Curriculum for details.
The Dance Program offers courses in four areas of emphasis including Theory and Appreciation, Technique, Choreography, and Performance within a contemporary dance focus. Through auditions, dancers perform each semester in the departmental dance company, Dance Performance Project, as well as during the Fall semester with DPP2 devoted exclusively to improvisation as a performing art form.
All levels of dance experience and training are invited to become a part of our Dance Program.
