Each summer, Southeastern hosts a series of orientation programs, inviting students who have been accepted for the upcoming fall term to get a jump on the transition to college. Participants get a crash course in College 101 with everything from learning about policies and procedures to meeting with faculty advisers and registering for classes. Don't worry; it's not all work and no play. The program is filled with informative and fun activities including outdoor barbecues, spirit competitions and Late Night Orientation- an evening full of music, dancing, food and fun. Experience college life first hand and to learn what it takes to be successful at Southeastern.

How Do I Attend?

You will be invited to attend a specific program date based on when you applied and were admitted to the university. The earlier you applied - the earlier you get invited to Orientation. You can move to a later program date, but you are not eligible to move to an earlier program.

Scholars Showcase

An exciting night is planned for you and up to two guests at Southeastern Louisiana University's Annual Scholars Showcase. Scholars Showcase is an event designed to celebrate your academic achievements. It will include a formal dinner in our Student Union Ballroom and special recognition of scholarship recipients. Along with these events the scholarship recipients will be taking a photograph with an honored guest.

How Do I Attend?

This event is by invitation only, for Southeastern Louisiana Scholarship recipients. Many of the university's administration and staff will be there to welcome you to the campus. Once you have received your invitation, please register to reserve your space for this event.

Join us this year for the annual Literary Rally. There are 44 literary events in which District Qualifiers compete. State and District tests are constructed by College and University personnel from host District Rally institutions using current Louisiana Department of Education Curriculum Guides. View a list of all of the events here.

Principals, teachers, and other chapterons are invited for refreshments in the Student Union. Join us at the annual Rock 'N Roar Fest sponsored by Southeastern Louisiana University's Alumni Association featuring food booths, music, educational displays, exhibits, and much more.

How Do I Attend?

For your students to be eligible to compete, your school must become a member of both the Southeast Louisiana District Literary Rally Association and the Louisiana High School Rally Association.
