Southeastern welcomes students back for the start of classes this week while we continue to keep all faculty, staff and students who are not yet able to make it to campus in our thoughts as the region works to recover from devastating flooding.
We attempted to reach ALL our students in recent days, but we realize communication has been difficult, if not impossible for some. If you are just now able to see this message, please contact email@example.com so we can have a better understanding of your status and work with you so you can attain your educational goals.
FLOOD RECOVERY FAQs
Southeastern hosts a series of orientation programs, inviting students who have been accepted for the upcoming fall, spring or summer term to get a jump on their transition to college. This program is filled with informative and fun activities that introduce students to college life and the great programs Southeastern has to offer.
Students are assigned to small groups with student Orientation Leaders to experience college life first hand and to learn what it takes to be successful at Southeastern. From policies and procedures to meeting with faculty and staff and registering for classes, participants get a crash course in College 101.
Not only does orientation prepare our Beginning Freshman students for college; we also help ease the transition for your family members as well. Each orientation program, we host a family orientation session where we will discuss topics such as scholarships, financial aid, and auxiliary services, just to name a few. Visit our dedicated parent website to learn more about services offered to your students.
At each orientation program, students are separated into small color groups. In this session you will get to know more about what Southeastern has to offer, plus meet with your Orientation Leaders. Orientation Leaders are your guides, teachers, peer advisors, mentors, and most of all, your friends. Each student will be assigned a special color group before they attend their scheduled orientation program.
At orientation you will be able to enjoy lunch in our Mane Dish. This state-of-the art facility allows restaurant style dining with a variety of nutritious dining choices that fit in with your lifestyle. Visit Campus Dish for information on meal plans, dining locations, and hours of operation.
