Federal and State Grant Programs
The Federal and State Grant Programs offered by Southeastern Louisiana University include the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), the Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH), and the Louisiana GO Grant.
The FAFSA is the application for these grant programs. These grants are need-based aid programs that do not need to be repaid.
Federal Pell Grant
The Federal Pell Grant Program provides need-based awards to undergraduate students only. Eligibility is determined by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), the cost of attendance, and the student's enrollment status.
Federal FSEOG Grant
The Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is a grant for undergraduate students with exceptional financial need. Eligibility is determined by the Expected Family Contribution (EFC), the cost of attendance, and the student's enrollment status. Funding for the Federal FSEOG Grant is limited.
Federal TEACH Grant
The Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant is available to both undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree or certification in an education program. The Federal TEACH Grant has specific eligibility and retention requirements. View general information on this federal program. Louisiana GO Grant
The Louisiana GO Grant is a state-funded grant available to undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need. To receive this grant a student must be a Louisiana resident and meet the criteria as set forth by the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance. Funding for the Louisiana GO Grant is limited.
