Financial Aid Process

Step 1: FAFSA Application

After you apply and are accepted into Southeastern, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for each academic year that you like to receive aid and complete verification. The
FAFSA is typically available after October 1st for the following academic year.

Step 2: Determining Type of Aid Needed

Before beginning the financial aid process, you must determine what type of aid you
will need. Loans, Grants, and Work Study are just a few options to help pay for your expenses.

Step 3: Receiving Your Financial Aid

Once your financial aid application file is complete, you will receive an award notification
to your Southeastern email directing you to
view, accept, or decline your financial aid award on your LEONet account. In order to receive financial aid, you must complete all steps.
