Rendes Quick Stop
Offers gasoline, milk and groceries, quick service food items and more. Located directly across main campus on University Avenue. Accepts Lion’s Lagniappe.
Smoothie King
Offers healthy smoothies and small snacks. Located directly across main campus on University Avenue. Accepts Lion’s Lagniappe.
University Donuts
Offers a variety of breakfast and lunch options and located within walking distance, about a 5-10 minute walk from the edge of campus. Located at 1215 University Ave. Open most days from 6:30AM—1:30PM except weekends they close at 12:30PM
Waffle House
Simple chain spot offering American diner fare and all-day breakfast, including waffles. Open 24 hours. Located within walking distance of the university on 1701 Martens Drive just off of University Avenue.
There are also plenty of other restaurant and quick service options just outside of walking range. Hammond has a great collection of various food options just a few minutes drive from the university.
Nearby Food and Shopping
There are many places in Hammond to shop for grocery items and essentials. Many are a few minute drive from the university.
The closest place for essentials will be Dollar General, located off University Ave at 1100 Western Ave. It is within walking distance of the university and offers household goods, groceries, beauty products and more.

Albertsons
Grocery store with multiple food items available and some essentials. Grocery delivery is available. Located about 2 miles from Southeastern, it is recommended that you take a vehicle. Accepts Lion’s Lagniappe.
There are many other grocery and shopping options in Hammond but these offer multiple options for shopping or convenience for a Southeastern student.
