Message From the Interim Provost

Just a couple of reminders as you continue your preparations for the semester.

 

Tomorrow is our annual convocation and picnic.  Please join me as we celebrate the accomplishments of our faculty and staff. We will recognize recipients of the President's Excellence Awards, congratulate faculty recommended for tenure and promotion and honor faculty and staff for years of loyal service -- I'm getting my clock and someone special is being recognized for 50 years of service! We will also have a chance to welcome new employees to the Southeastern family. The celebration starts at 11:00 a.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.

 

In preparing for your courses, please refer to the Fall 2017 Semester Informational Memo for requirements and deadlines relevant to the management of your courses.

 

Committee assignments for Standing Committees 2017-2018 have been posted. Please take a look. These committees are important and your service is appreciated.

 

Finally, there have been many changes in Academic Affairs since spring as a result of conversations with you and our students. Additional information will be forthcoming but here's a peek.
