Resignation Procedure

Your education is extremely important to us here at Southeastern. While we don’t like to see any of our students leave, we do understand that there is life outside of Southeastern and that our students are faced with difficult decisions about the future. This page will provide you with the necessary information and procedures to completely resign from your enrollment. Please keep in mind that resigning from Southeastern may impact the following areas on your student account:

  • Financial Aid Eligibility
  • Southeastern Billing
  • University Housing
  • Athletic Eligibility
  • Health Insurance

We recommend that before you officially resign, you follow up with the appropriate campus partners to ensure there are no other steps to be taken.

 

Options to Officially Resign From Southeastern Louisiana University

Option 1:

Send an email directly from your Southeastern Gmail account to records@southeastern.edu. Please include the following information:

  • Subject: Southeastern Resignation Request
  • Full Name
  • W#
  • Term
  • Reason for resignation

***If you cannot access your Southeastern Gmail account, please contact the Student Help Desk.  

Option 2:
  1. Download and complete the Resignation Request Form.
  2. Email the completed form to records@southeastern.edu from any email address to which you have access.

 

Please allow us 24-48 hours to process your resignation. You will receive an email response from records@southeastern.edu confirming that we have received your request. Your resignation date will be recorded as the date we received your email.
