Control Desk

You're on the front lines! We expect our Control Desk employees to exemplify our mission statement and always remember that "We Make A Positive Impact!" Duties for this position include facilitating member entry to the facility, answering our main phone line, and greeting each and every participant.

Fitness Room Attendant

Our fitness room attendants play a large part in our efforts to maintain a state-of-the-art, beautiful facility. Fitness room attendants can expect to inforce the fitness room policies, inspect and evaluate equipment, and keep up the cleanliness of our fitness room.

Membership Desk

This position is only obtained by promotion. We evaluate our current staff and promote those students who go above and beyond and demonstrate that they can handle additional responsibilities. Duties include handling transactions in person and over the phone, updating memberships and locker rentals, and facility supervision.

Building Supervisor

The highest position a student can hold within our department is a building supervisor. These student leaders are promoted internally after proving they can handle the responsibilities of supervising not only our facility and its participants, but their fellow student staff as well. These students open and close the building, handle financial transactions, oversee event set-up, and handle a wide variety of additional duties.

Intramural Sports Official

All of our intramural sports leagues and events are officiated by students! Intramural sports officials usually referee 1-2 sports each semester. We welcome any students that want to learn how to scorekeep or officiate for our sports. Click here to see an overview of the sports we offer each semester.

Intramural Sports Supervisor

Our intramural sports supervisors are promoted internally from intramural officials. These students are entrusted to oversee the officials, enforce rules, and supervise the fields/courts where our sports are played.

Group Fitness Instructor

The majority of our group exercise classes are instructed by students! To learn more about the requirements, contact our Coordinator of Fitness & Wellness, Nick Mayeur, at nmayeur@southeastern.edu.

Personal Trainer

Our department offers personal training to our members, and we're always on the hunt for personal trainers. To learn more about the requirements, contact our Coordinator of Fitness & Wellness, Nick Mayeur, at nmayeur@southeastern.edu.

Rec Kids Counselor

Our Rec Kids after-school program cares for children ages 5-12. Counselors assist these students with homework, snacks, and physical activities. This position only works afternoon hours Monday-Friday. The Rec Kids program is ending on May 23, 2019. These positions will no longer be available after Spring 2019.

Camp Rec Counselor

Lifeguard

Our department oversees the Kinesiology Pool, and employs lifeguards to manage the pool. If you're interested in being hired as a lifeguard, contact Nick Mayeur at nmayeur@southeastern.edu
