Information for graduating seniors!
Graduating seniors,
In light of the ongoing concerns with COVID-19 and the cancellation of all campus events,
we regret to inform you that the Southeastern Alumni Association will not host a traditional
Ring Ceremony or the Lion4Life Launch Party as originally scheduled for the Spring
2020 semester. While we are disappointed that we will not be able to hold these celebrations, we
are still so proud of your accomplishments and cannot wait to welcome you into our
alumni network upon graduation in a few short weeks!
How can I claim my commencement cord if I donated to the Lion Legacy Program? Is it
too late to donate and receive my items?
Donors pledging $50 or more to the program can expect to receive their commencement
cord in the mail. These items will be shipped via USPS and will be delivered to the
address listed on your donation form. Individuals awaiting a t-shirt due to depleted
sizes at Grad Fair can also expect to receive this item in the mail. As a small gesture
of thanks, donors can now view their name in the appropriate donor levels on our Lion Legacy page. It's not too late to donate and receive your philanthropic donor items in the mail
if you wish to do so. If you have questions or concerns regarding your delivery, please contact our office
at alumni@southeastern.edu.
How can I expect to receive my class ring?
The Alumni Association has made arrangements with Balfour to have your class rings
shipped to you directly at no extra cost. These items will be insured and shipped via USPS and require a signature upon delivery.
All you have to do is confirm your shipping address! To confirm your shipping address, or if you have additional questions, contact our
office at alumni@southeastern.edu.
What resources can the Alumni Association offer me prior to graduation?
All graduating seniors are invited to join us and over 1,000 of your soon-to-be fellow alumni on Southeastern Connect, a free platform made exclusively for Southeastern alumni. Here, seniors can unlock
assistance with potential job, networking, internship, and mentorship opportunities
during these tough times. We urge you to connect and to log on often to maximize your opportunities!
Although the Alumni Center is temporarily closed to the public, our staff is working
remotely, so feel free to reach out if we can assist you in any way during this difficult
time.
We will continue to keep you updated through email and our social channels. Stay safe,
stay healthy, and LION UP!
