Why did you choose to attend Southeastern?

After looking at several universities I chose Southeastern for their business program.  After touring the campus, I knew it was the right fit for me.

Is there one thing or iconic place on campus that reminds you of your time spent at Southeastern?

Outside of the business building is a beautiful spot where we would gather under the oak trees. It is across the street from the football stadium, so that whole area reminds me of my time at Southeastern.

Did a Southeastern professor inspire you? Who was that and how was that person inspirational?

All my business professors within the Southeastern business program were fantastic.

Did you end up working in the field that you studied?

Yes, Marketing was my major and today along with my brother we own and operate a distribution company that sells personal protective equipment.

How did your Southeastern degree prepare you for success in your career?

The business program at Southeastern taught me to focus not only on the big picture, but the small details.  Southeastern gave me the business knowledge I needed to follow my dreams and build a successful company.

What do you enjoy about your current position/profession?

I enjoy traveling for the company.  I travel extensively around the country and see new places and meet new people through the outside sales position.  I enjoy meeting with my customers to help them solve their problems.

Has something about your Southeastern education surprised you since graduating?

Yes, Accounting was one of my weaknesses in business school, but my professors helped complete those challenging classes.  I am grateful for that because I use accounting every day in our business.

What advice would you give to a driven college student about to enter the "real world"?

I would tell them to wake up every day with the mindset that I want to strive to be better and to do better.  It sounds easy, but to get up every day and give it your all is tough in a world that asks so much of us.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I enjoy being with my family and traveling with my wife and two girls.  I also love to fish, cook, and play golf in my spare time.
