Southeastern Louisiana University is home to one of the most beautiful campus'. We are known for our beautiful Oak trees: Friendship Oak in particular. It's the perfect place to get some shade, get some studying done, or take a nap! 

 

 

 

 

#7 Go ga-ga for gumbo at Gumbo Ya-Ya

During Homecoming Week in the Fall, CAB sponsors the traditional Gumbo Ya Ya. Over 3,000 students enjoy gumbo, bread, soft drinks and cake in the Student Union Park. It also features different entertainment each year such as inflatables, wax hands, and music.

 

 

 

 

#8 Take a Road Trip to an away Lions Game 

Get out of Hammond and explore new places. Going to an away Lions game is a great way to sightsee and travel. 

 

 

 

 

 

#9 Learn the Southeastern Fight Song
