Overview
The Department of Business Management at Southeastern University prepares students for leadership careers in all manner of profit, non-profit, and governmental organizations. Certain common skills are required of all students of management, financial management, and marketing including a strong facility with accounting, mathematics, information systems, human relations, and communications.
Business Management and Financial Management majors acquire the skills to plan, implement, and control managerial activities and financial operations with organizations. In addition, they are taught the strategic thinking skills to establish their own businesses, to conduct business transactions across national borders, and to manage effectively in the global marketplace.
Marketing majors are prepared for positions which focus on the provision of customer satisfaction through exchange of goods and services. They are taught, among other things, the rules governing the international trading and investment system; the importance of building customer satisfaction, value, and retention; the management of integrated marketing communications; and the coordination of total marketing efforts |
