Getting your COMET and ACAD account.
COMET (Campus Online Management and Educational Tracking) is a web interface that allows you to access information contained in the administrative database used by Southeastern University. The application system that creates this database, Colleague or Benefactor, is the product of Datatel Inc. of Fairfax, Virginia.
As student, with your COMET account, you can access information such as your academic grades, and registering for your classes.
An ACAD account will allow you to access various resources within the university, particularly the computer lab services. STARS (Student Technology Administration Resource System), campus' wireless internet connection, and your student's email.
As student, with your STARS account, you can access information regarding employment / career center, ask for academic advising prior to registering for classes, request transcript, do the social networking with other students and professors through various forum / message boards.
To obtain information regarding your COMET and ACAD account, you have to contact the Office of Technology Systems and Services. You are required to have your account prior of accessing the university's technology resources.

Technology Resources
Computer Lab
Hours & Location:
The Computer Lab is located in first floor. The hours of operation are:
- 10 am – 9:45 pm, Monday -- Friday
- 10 am – 5:45 pm, Saturday & Sunday
Policies - Who May Use the Lab,What is Allowed & Student Responsibilities:
- Telephone:
The use of the telephone in the Computer Lab is restricted to Lab Assistants for official duties only.
- Use of the Lab is available only to students enrolled in courses and programs at Southeastern University as well as to the faculty and staff of the University.
- Students using the Lab for homework have priority over all other users.
- All users of the Lab must sign in and show proper identification on entering the Lab. Users who chronically forget their ID may be denied access to the Lab.
- The Computer Lab is provided as a quiet place for students to complete the computer assignments or work on other academic projects requiring computers or Internet access. Students who wish to socialize should use the student lounge or the lobby.
- The Lab is to be used for completing homework assignments or for other course‑related work. (The Lab is not provided for Web browsing, gaming, chat, instant messaging, or personal e‑mail not related to school work.)
- Students are permitted to printing up to 20 pages per print job or up to 20 pages per day. Students may print more if they provide their own paper.
- Software that is available in the classrooms for instruction is also available in the Student Lab. The installed software changes from term to term to accommodate University course requirements.
- Students are expected to understand the software they plan to use. Lab assistants are on duty to ensure the orderly operation of the facility, and are not permitted to tutor students or to do their homework for them.
- Students are expected to solve their own questions regarding the use of the software.
- Students who need help with their homework or using the software in the Lab should request assistance through the Office of Academic Advising or the appropriate academic department.
- Any use of the facilities that is inconsistent with existing University policies is prohibited.
- Food and drink are not permitted in any computer facility, including the Computer Lab.
- Disruptive behaviour is not permitted in the Computer Lab. This includes:
- Socialising—please use the Lobby or the student lounge;
- Cell phones—please set your ringer to vibrate or turn it down. Cell phones may be used in the Lobby;
- Audible music—please keep your headphones turned down so that others can’t hear your music
- No one may print more than 20 pages per day unless they have furnished their own paper.
- Installing, removing, or modifying software on any University computers is forbidden.
Library's Internet Room:
The Internet Room in the Library is available to the public.
Photocopiers:
There are prepaid copiers located at the Library and Communication Center for student's usages. Please consult with the front desk, librarian, or communication center personnel if you need assistances on using these devices
Wireless Internet Access
You can access the internet through our wireless internet access point. Select SEU-GUEST from the available wireless connection.
Student's Email
It is important to know that your student email account has a limited storage capacity. You are responsible to manage your mailbox regularly, or you would not be able to receive further emails when your account has reached the maximum quota assigned.
