New to COMET

If this is your first time using COMET, you have two options to setup your access to COMET:

1. You will need to log into your STARS account to access the Academic Advising Module. After completing Academic Advising in Stars, you will receive your username and temporary password.  Follow the instructions on that page to access COMET or,


2. You can go directly into COMET to setup your account: On the student page, click the link "I'm New to COMET".  Follow the directions to establish your user ID and temporary password (to use this option you must have an email account on file with the University).

Forgotten/Lost Password

If you have lost or forgotten your user ID or password, you have several options within the COMET Student Menu to choose:

• What's My User ID? - after verification, you are given your user ID

• What's My Password - you given the option of a hint pertaining to your password (requires previous setup) or resetting your password.
