  LIBRARY AND LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

About the Library

Southeastern University Web Content

The library and learning resource center is committed to assisting Southeastern University in carrying out its mission to prepare students for success in a competitive marketplace. In so doing, it provides materials, information and trainings in support of the university’s academic programs. The library is also member of the American Library Association, and OCLC Eastern.

To carry out its functions, the library is divided into three (3) units: public services, technical services, and training and development. The public services unit is in charge of circulation, research and reference assistance. The technical services unit takes care of materials processing and storing, while the training and development unit was added to help foster information literacy by conducting adequate information technology trainings and producing informative and training materials on the use of library services. Most of the services are available on-campus and off-campus.
Library users research books and audiovisual holdings through the online catalog, and electronic resources available. Access to interlibrary loan services and OCLC First Search is restricted to reference librarians, and patron desiring access to these services will need to complete either a research request or a reference request form.

Technology trainings are offered in partnership with the Center for Entrepreneurship and the Center for Allied Health Education, they are open to all registered users including the community. For more information about the trainings please contact the Center for Entrepreneurship at entrepreneur@seu.edu.
The library is comprised of two (2) branches with eight (8) collections. The different collections are:
