Sims Emergency Technology service was suspended on 12/1/21. However, if you need a laptop or other equipment, please visit the library's Technology page for more information on checking out technology.
Sims Library and the Center for Student Excellence are working together to provide laptops and other technology for students in need who are unable to access technology elsewhere. Sims Emergency Technology is a temporary service in response to Hurricane Ida.
“Students will use technology in almost every course they are enrolled in this semester, so access to technology is vital for their success, said Mindy Notariano, Assistant Director of Freshman Success, at the Center for Student Excellence. “We want to help students who need technology to successfully complete their coursework for the Fall semester,” said Angie Estes, Library Technology Specialist at Sims Library. “We just want to get technology in the hands of students who need it.”
Students in need of assistance should complete the online application available here:https://form.jotform.com/slucse/setrequest
