Parking Updates

Southeastern is committed to providing you with a fulfilling experience by continuing our campus growth and delivering top amenities and facilities. As you arrive back on campus, you will see exciting new building construction sites; but with progress comes temporary limitations.

Your patience is greatly appreciated as we make progress. Please review these tips and maps to help you with the changes, which are only temporary. We will provide additional information as it is available, and you can follow University Parking on Twitter to stay updated.

Lion Traxx Route Information (see below for routes and save images to your phone) 

Mobile Shuttle Tracker: While waiting for the LionTraxx shuttle, visit southeastern.edu/traxx on your mobile device to view a real-time shuttle tracker. The shuttle tracker will let you know exact locations of all buses so that you can be prepared to hop on when it arrives.

Faculty/Staff Changes
  • Dakota St. parking along sidewalk is now an Upperclassman Commuter zone.
  • Parking has been added between the new Technology Building and Pursley Hall.


Upperclass Commuter
Upperclass parking zones will be directly impacted by the new construction. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before class or appointment time. LionTraxx will be running additional shuttles to minimize wait time on Monday - Thursday. Upperclassmen should park in the parking garage or in North Campus overflow lots instead of spending time circling around smaller lots.

Current upper-class parking lot options:

  • The large gravel lot on Texas Ave is currently unavailable.
  • New parking lot next to Holy Ghost Church, across from new Technology Building
  • Dakota St. parking along sidewalk now available (previously faculty/staff)
  • Parking garage, entrances on Western Ave. and Dakota St.
  • Overflow: North Campus commuter lots behind the University Center, Textbook Rental, and North Oak Park
  • The large gravel lot on Texas Ave is currently unavailable. 

Parking - Upperclass

 

Freshmen Commuter

Freshman have access to designated parking lots on North Campus with convenient LionTraxx shuttle service throughout the day, Monday - Thursday. Freshman Commuter lots are on N. Campus behind the Alumni Center, University Center, and Textbook Rental

The LionTraxx has 2 different routes: green route and gold route (see below for routes and save to your phone). While waiting for the LionTraxx at one of its many stops, visit southeastern.edu/traxx on your mobile device to view a real-time shuttle tracker. The shuttle tracker will let you know exact locations of all buses so that you can be prepared to hop on when it arrives.

Parking - Freshman

Zone 4 Residential

Zone 4 parking for residents is impacted by the new construction areas. In order to make your stay on campus safe and convenient, designated lots have been assigned specifically for your vehicle.

Zone 4 designated campus parking lots:

  • Lot just outside of your residence hall doors, entrance on Union Ave.
  • Lot behind Sims Memorial Library, entrance on Union Ave.
    • Please note, a portion of this lot will be unavailable for a short time.
  • Overflow: parking garage between Strawberry Stadium (football) and Alumni Field (baseball), entrances on Western Ave. and W Dakota St.
