Spooky Southeastern - Upcoming Halloween Events

It's that time of year - Southeastern is getting spooky! Check out this fun list of Halloween-inspired events scheduled on campus this month:

Oktoberfest - Oct. 18

Celebrate the season with University Housing and Dining Services on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 4 - 7 pm at the Quad. Enjoy a feast, photo booth, balloon toss, life size games and free shirts!  To participate, students can use either one meal from meal place, pay using Lion's Lagniappe/Cub Cash, or pay $8.75 plus tax using cash, credit or debit.  

Halloweentown Movie Screening - Oct 24-25

Enjoy a Halloween classic in the Student Union Theatre on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7 pm or 9 pm or Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 pm or 8 pm.  
 

CAB Haunted House - Oct. 30
Southeastern students - enter if you dare. CAB presents its Haunted House in the Pennington Student Activity Center on Oct. 30 from 7-10 pm. Free admission with student ID!

Tricked Out Halloween Treats on Oct. 31

Enjoy lunch in the Mane Dish on Halloween for some "Hallosweets" from 11 am - 2 pm.

 

Fall Carnival - Oct. 31

Area children are invited to participate in Southeastern's annual Fall Carnival on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 pm at the Pennington Student Activity Center, located at 1350 N. General Pershing.

This free event is meant to provide safe alternatives to traditional neighborhood door-to-door trick-or-treating. Although children of all ages are invited to the festivities, the event targets children in kindergarten through fourth grade and will include games with prizes, candy, spacewalks, a balloon artist, and more. Parents and guardians are asked to accompany their children throughout the event, which is sponsored by Multicultural and International Student Affairs, Black Student Union, the Office for Student Engagement, and Recreational Sports and Wellness.

 

University Housing Halloween Bash - Oct. 31

Southeastern students are invited to University Housing's second annual Halloween Bash on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 7-10 pm in the 3rd Floor Student Union Ballroom. Wear your most creative look for the costume contest!
