Help for the Holidays
Several student organizations are getting into the holiday spirit by helping our Lions help others in need.
Toys from the Heart
Sponsored by: National Pan-Hellenic Council and Multicultural Organizations
The groups will be collecting toys through Nov. 21. Drop off points include:
- Office for Student Engagement
- Pennington Center
- Kinesiology Building
- Hammond Downtown Development
- Hammond AT&T
They will sort and wrap the donations at a "Wrap party" on Nov. 30. On Dec. 1, students will take the Lion Traxx Shuttle to drop off the toys at local Head Start
centers.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Christmas Concert

The first annual JDRF Christmas Concert will be held on December 2 starting at 6 pm in Friendship Circle. A great family event, activities include photos with Santa, arts and crafts, s'mores and live music directed by Southeastern music education students Caroline Wright and Katie Walker. All proceeds benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
