Start Your Semester

Due to potentially dangerous travel conditions, Southeastern will cancel classes and close all offices at 2 pm on Jan. 16 through Jan. 18. Normally scheduled classes and activities at all locations will resume on Friday, January 19.

Due to the recent weather closures, the deadline for making schedule adjustments (Drop/Add period) has been extended until Tuesday, January 23 at 5 pm. The final fee payment deadline has been extended to Wednesday, January 24 at 5 pm. Further information on any additional changes to the spring calendar will be forthcoming.

Southeastern Dining

The Mane Dish restaurant will be open Tuesday, Jan. 16 from 4 pm - 7 pm and Wednesday-Thursday, Jan. 17-18 from 10:30 am - 6 pm. Regular dining hours for all Campus Dining locations are scheduled to resume Friday, January 19. Click here for a list of hours of operation for our 13 dining facilities. Save to your phone for easy access!

University Bookstore

It's the place to shop for Southeastern apparel and merchandise, books, school supplies, snacks, and much more! The Bookstore will offer extended hours at the beginning of the semester:

  • Monday, Jan. 15: 9 am - 5 pm
  • Tuesday, Jan. 16: 7 am - 2 pm
  • Friday, Jan. 19: 7 am - 2 pm
  • Saturday, Jan. 20: 10 am - 4 pm
  • Sunday, Jan 21: 12 - 4 pm
  • Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 22-23: 7 am - 6 pm

Regular hours begin Wednesday, Jan. 24: Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am - 5 pm and Friday from 7 am - 2 pm.
 

Textbook Rental

Print out a copy of your class schedule from LEONET(Self Service - Textbook Rental Information) and bring your student ID with you when you pick up your rental textbooks during the hours below:

  • Tuesday-Friday, Jan. 9-12: 7 am - 6 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday, Jan. 13-14: 10 am - 4 pm
  • Monday, Jan. 15: 9 am - 5 pm
  • Tuesday, Jan. 16: 7 am - 2 pm

Campus Card Operations

The Campus Card Operations office will be open from 7:30 am - 2 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 16 and closed Jan. 17-18. Normal operating hours (Monday-Thursday from 7:30 am - 5 pm and Friday from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm) resume on Friday, Jan. 19A government issued photo ID is required to pick up your ID. 

To add money to your Lion's Lagniappe account, you can bring cash, check or money order to the Controller's Office.You may also add Lion's Lagniappe to your account through LEONET or with a credit card using GET, the online management system for Lion's Lagniappe and other services. Click here to access GET. 

 

Parking Office

The Parking Office will resume regular hours on Friday, Jan. 19: open Monday - Thursday from 7:30 am - 5:00 pm and Friday from 7:30 am - 12:30 pm. You can pick up your spring semester parking tag in the University Police - Parking Office in Pride Hall. If you picked up your hang tag for the fall 2017 semester, it is valid until July 31, 2018.

Get Involved

Student Organizations at Southeastern are an integral part of campus life and one of the best opportunities for students to learn outside of the classroom. Campus Safety

Southeastern uses an emergency alert messaging system in the case of an emergency. All student, faculty and staff email accounts are preregistered with the system, but you must sign up to receive emergency alert text messages and voice calls on your cell phone. Sign up now.

Southeastern's free Safe Campus app can be accessed by using your smart phone or device to visit southeastern.edu/safecampusapp. Be sure to save the app to your home screen for easy access. The app can direct dial the University Police Department from its home screen and provides simple instructions and recommendations for actions to take in the event of an on-campus emergency.
