Football Season Kickoff & Lion Statue Unveiling

Ready to ROAR? The wait is over! Lion Football is BACK! Lion Up as your Southeastern Lions take on Jacksonville State this Thursday, Aug. 29 at 7 pm in Strawberry Stadium. 

We'll see all of Lion Nation for tailgating prior to kickoff - and a special event to kick off the season! Lion fans are invited to gather in Friendship Circle near Strawberry Stadium at 5:30 pm to witness the unveiling of Southeastern’s new Lion statue. Brief remarks will be shared as we introduce the newest addition to the heart of campus, which was made possible thanks to the Student Government Association. Learn more > 

Students - be sure to stop by the SGA Tailgate from 4 - 6 pm for free food, music and fun! 

Thursday’s game is also Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day at Strawberry Stadium! All SLU faculty and staff can receive two complimentary tickets by presenting their Southeastern faculty/staff ID.  

 

To avoid ticket lines, faculty and staff are encouraged to pick up their tickets prior to game day at the Southeastern Athletics Ticket Office, which is open Monday through Thursday from 9 am – 5 pm and from 8 am – 12:30 pm on Friday. On game day, tickets may be picked up at the ticket booths in Friendship Circle or Strawberry Stadium.

Southeastern students always get free entry into all Southeastern Athletics events with student ID.
