Flood Recovery FAQs and Resources
The historic flooding that devastated much of south Louisiana impacted so many members of the Southeastern family - students, faculty and staff.
Flood Recovery FAQs
We have reached out to Lions from impacted areas, providing information and encouragement to help ensure that students affected by the floods could continue their education. You may have questions about changes to this semester, or how you should handle issues that arise due to the floods. A list of frequently-asked questions regarding the Fall 2016 semester is available here. Also listed is contact information by department for any additional questions you may have.
Flood Recovery Resources
As the recovery continues, Southeastern is here to help. Before the rescheduled first
day of classes, Southeastern students volunteered over 1,000 hours of service to help with recovery efforts throughout our region. We
also compiled an online repository of flood relief resources, available here. The list includes organizations providing help for those in need, as well as ways
for individuals and groups to volunteer. We hope these resources are helpful for members
of our Southeastern family and all those throughout the region who are recovering
from flooding.
Disaster Relief Fund
The Southeastern Foundation has established a Disaster Relief Fund to assist in meeting the short term needs of as many students, faculty, and staff as possible.
If you'd like to help us support our Lions in need, you can make a donation to the fund here. The support we receive from alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the University is greatly appreciated and will provide much-needed assistance and relief.
