Miss Louisiana Top 10

Former Miss Southeastern Lacey Sanchez has been named Miss Louisiana 2014, while three other women who have held or currently hold the Miss Southeastern title also represented the university with poise and pride at the recent pageant.

Sanchez was joined in the top 10 group of final contestants by Crystal Gonzalez, Miss Southeastern 2014, and Renee Picou, Miss Southeastern 2013. Jennifer Jarreau, Miss Southeastern 2012, also made a strong showing in the pageant. Sanchez and Picou each were named lifestyle and fitness swimsuit winners during preliminary rounds of competition.

A former student-athlete pole vaulter and "competitor at heart," Sanchez's first pageant was the Miss Southeastern competition while she was pursuing her bachelor's degree in 2010. As the winner of the Miss Louisiana pageant, she received a $10,000 scholarship for pursuit of her master's degree and the opportunity to represent Louisiana at the upcoming Miss America pageant. She also will spend the next year making public appearances and speaking in support of the Children's Miracle Network, the philanthropy of Miss Louisiana and the Miss America pageant.
