From faculty appreciation events to free food and prizes for students, Southeastern Athletics offers a little lagniappe for the university community

Lion Up Cup


Southeastern offers athletic events throughout the year, including football, volleyball, soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, track and field and tennis. All athletic events are free to students, and many are free to the university community as well. Learn more about tickets here and view the upcoming promotion schedule below.

Feb. 1: Men’s Basketball vs. McNeese State

Jam the Jungle Student Promotion
The first 300 students to arrive will receive free t-shirts as well as special promotions throughout the evening.

Cane's Challenge 
If the Lions score 60 points, take your game ticket or your Cane’s Challenge Card to your local Raising Cane’s by the close of business the following day to receive a free Cane’s combo when you purchase one of equal value.

Feb. 6: Men’s Basketball vs. Abilene Christian and Women’s Basketball vs. Abilene Christian

Military Appreciation Night
Anyone with a valid military I.D. will receive free admission into the double-header game.

Feb. 10 – Women’s Basketball vs. McNeese State
Faculty Appreciation Night
Southeastern faculty can receive two free tickets for the game.

Feb. 13 – Men’s Basketball vs. Nicholls and Women’s Basketball vs. Nicholls
Cub Club Celebration / Alumni Day
Cub Club members can call 985-549-3227 to RSVP for the celebration. Former players in attendance will be recognized. 

Feb. 18 – Women’s Basketball vs. New Orleans
Pack The House
The first 300 students to arrive will receive a free t-shirt.

Pink Game
Wear pink to support breast cancer awareness. Free food will be served to the first 300 students in attendance.

Feb. 25 – Women’s Basketball vs. Northwestern State?

Feb. 27 – Men’s Basketball vs. Central Arkansas and Women’s Basketball vs. Central Arkansas
Senior Day / Take a Kid to a Game
Seniors on the team will be recognized during a Senior Day presentation. Community members 12 and under will receive a free ticket per adult ticket purchased.

Feb. 29 – Men’s Basketball vs. Northwestern State
