Southeastern's Quality Enhancement Plan ensures students gain educational experiences to make them "Real World Ready"

Monday, February 2, 2015

Southeastern is required to develop a new Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) every 10 years as part of its reaccreditation process by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The QEP must describe a course of action for enhancing student learning and/or the environment in support of student learning.

In preparation for this year's reaffirmation, Southeastern chose "Real World Ready" as the focus for its new QEP. This campaign serves to enhance, expand and coordinate experiential learning opportunities at the university.

As part of the campaign, students will gain hands-on experience directly related to their chosen career paths through programs like internships, service-learning, study abroad and more. A dedicated Office of Experiential Learning will oversee the university's efforts to offer these learning experiences to students, making them real-world ready upon graduation.

For more information about the QEP, students can email RealWorldReady@southeastern.edu.
