Southeastern debuts custom regalia designed exclusively for the university to be worn at all future commencements

Monday, February 22, 2016

For the first time in school history, Southeastern graduates at the spring 2016 commencement will wear custom regalia designed exclusively for the university.

Undergraduates will wear green gowns with the official gold Southeastern “S” logo embroidered on both sides of the upper portions of the gowns just below the shoulder. Masters and doctoral candidates will continue to wear black gowns so they do not conflict with the variety of hood colors worn by masters and doctoral graduates, but those black gowns will now also be emblazoned with the official logo on the upper portions of the gowns.

Promoting a sense of pride and accomplishment, the custom Southeastern regalia will be required for all graduates beginning with this spring’s commencement. Regalia must be purchased through the University Bookstore or ordered at the upcoming Grad Fair March 9-10 at the Alumni Center, where students can receive assistance with sizing for their custom gowns, caps and tassels.

Southeastern is always proud to celebrate the special milestone of commencement and looks forward to the debut of its custom regalia on May 14.
