HAMMOND – New Orleans Councilman-at-Large Arnie Fielkow, the former executive vice president of the New Orleans Saints, will present the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Business's annual James and Evelyn Livingston Memorial Lecture on Business Ethics May 2 at 7 p.m. at Vonnie Borden Theatre in D Vickers Hall.

The lecture series, founded in 1984, honors the late James Livingston, a prominent Hammond businessman, and his wife Evelyn, an active community volunteer who died in 2005.

Fielkow was elected to a four-year term as New Orleans councilman-at-large in May 2006 and serves as vice-president of the seven-member council. As executive vice president of the NFL’s Saints, he was the franchise’s top senior management official, presiding over all administrative and business departments, including marketing, sales, regional development, governmental affairs, community relations, business media relations and youth programs.

During his tenure with the Saints, Fielkow restructured marketing efforts, resulting in record season ticket sales, total attendance, and corporate sponsorship sales. Under his leadership, the Saints also enjoyed tremendous growth in youth programming, highlighted by its involvement in the NFL’s Junior Player Development program in summer youth clinics throughout Greater New Orleans.

Prior to joining the Saints, Fielkow was president and general counsel of the historic Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs and president of Minor League Baseball’s AA Association.  He served as deputy commissioner and general counsel of the Continental Basketball Association and was elected to the board of directors of USA Basketball.

An avid sports fan, Fielkow was selected to the silver medal-winning United States men’s basketball team at the 15th Maccabiah Games in Israel. He presently serves as an active youth coach in the Uptown New Orleans Carrollton baseball program.

A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, Fielkow is a 1981 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree with honors from Northwestern University.
