HAMMOND – Football fans will get a preview of the 2007 Southeastern Louisiana University Fighting Lions in a football pre-season edition of “Lion Tracks,” debuting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, on the Southeastern Channel.

After the first airing, the football preview will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and at 10 p.m. Saturdays leading up to the season opener Aug. 30 at New Mexico State. It can be seen on the Southeastern Channel, the university’s educational cable access channel on Charter Cable Channel 18.

“Lion Tracks” features head football coach Mike Lucas looking back at the 2006 season and discussing changes his new regime has made to the Southeastern football program since he took over the helm last year. Lucas talks about recruiting, spring practice, the off-season program, and the 2007 roster. He also goes through the depth chart and analyzes upcoming opponents.

The show includes video highlights from the 2006 season and this year’s fall practices and sound bites from Lion players and opposing players and coaches from the Southland Conference media day held earlier this summer.

Allen Waddell, co-anchor of the Southeastern Channel’s student Emmy award-winning “Big Game” sports show, hosts the pre-season edition of “Lion Tracks.”

The Southeastern Channel can be seen on Charter Cable Channel 18 in Tangipahoa, St. Tammany, and Livingston parishes and on Channel 17 in Washington Parish.  It can also be seen online at www.selu.edu/tv.
