Southeastern SBDC offers free consulting in Walker, Greensburg

     HAMMONDThe Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University has added new locations in Livingston and St. Helena parishes to its free business consulting outreach program.

     Individuals interested in starting or expanding a business in the two parishes can sign up for free, confidential one-on-on appointments with professional consultants, said Sandy Summers, SBDC training and workforce coordinator.

        She said appointments will be available at the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center, 9261 Florida Blvd. in Walker, on the second Wednesday of each month, beginning May 14, and at the Louisiana Technical College Greensburg campus, 137 College Street in Greensburg on third Wednesdays, beginning May 21.

    The consulting service is provided by the Southeastern SBDC, which assists business in areas such as business plans, advertising plans, inventory control, financial projections, and cost analysis.

      To schedule an appointment, contact the Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center at 225-665-3303 or the LTC-Greensburg campus at 225-222-4251.

    The two new locations have been added to existing business consulting outreach programs at the Dixie Business Development Center in Denham Springs (first Wednesdays), St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce in Covington (first Thursdays), St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation in Mandeville (second Thursdays), the East St. Tammany Chamber of Commerce in Slidell (fourth Thursdays), and the Bogalusa Chamber of Commerce (third Thursdays).
