HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University will limit access to the campus while the university is closed for the annual holiday break.

During the closure, beginning Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. and ending at Jan. 5 at 6 a.m., only essential personnel and students who are living on campus will be permitted access.

The policy is being implemented to help insure the safety of faculty, staff and students during the holiday break and to better safeguard university property, university officials said.

Students will have access to their residence halls via SGA Drive. Faculty and other individuals seeking access to campus must call the University Police Department at (985) 549-2222 to make arrangements. University Police is open around the clock to assist with all inquiries.

“We wish everyone a joyous holiday and look forward to seeing you in the New Year,” said Interim President John L. Crain.
