HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University is inviting members of the community to join its faculty and staff in saying farewell to former President Randy Moffett and thanking him for his leadership and vision at an open reception planned Monday (July 28) from 3 – 5 p.m.

Moffett, who has been appointed president of the University of Louisiana System, will be honored at the reception which will be held at Twelve Oaks on the campus.

“Many people in our area have expressed a desire to say farewell to Dr. Moffett, who has been such a strong advocate for university-community partnerships,” said Interim President John L. Crain. “This is an opportunity for the general public to join the Southeastern family in extending their best wishes to him and Barbara as they move to Baton Rouge.”
