SBDC offers seminar on quality workforce

     HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University along with the Hammond Area Economic and Industrial Development District and Entergy Economic Development will host "How to Find, Hire and Retain Quality Employees" Wednesday, June 25.

     The free seminar will be offered from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center, 1514 Martens Drive in Hammond.

     “For businesses, finding, hiring and retaining quality staff remains a major issue,” said SBDC Assistant Director Sandy Summers. “This event will address the benefits of having the right people on your team, what quality employees want and need, and much more.” 

     Additional topics include competitive pay, writing a job description, hiring migrant workers, and labor law updates.
