(9) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF BUSINESS HONORS STUDENTS (INTERNATIONAL) Randy Settoon, dean of Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Business, congratulates Phila Reichling of Hamburg, Germany, who was among the Southeastern Louisiana University students recognized at the college’s annual honors convocation April 28.


     HAMMONDBrian Waterwall of Slidell received the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Business’s highest academic honor, the Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership, at the college's annual honors convocation April 28.

     Dean Randy Settoon recognized Waterwall, a student in Southeastern’s Master of Business Administration graduate program, for his academic accomplishments along with other student recipients of departmental awards and scholarships at the ceremony held in the Student Union Theatre. Waterwall is a graduate assistant in the Department of General Business and earned his bachelor’s degree in management from Southeastern in 2007.

     The college named as its 2008 Outstanding Alumnus Daniel M. McCue, who graduated from Southeastern in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and is currently senior vice president and head of finance and accounting outsourcing services for Sutherland Global Services, a leading multi-national Business Process Outsourcing provider. McCue joined Sutherland from Perot Systems where he headed up the Financial and Accounting Business Process Outsourcing Services. He also was employed by Accenture and Suntory Water Group.

     The college also recognized inductees into the 13 Club, Southeastern’s own honor society, and presented its Certificate of International Friendship to Phila Reichling of Hamburg, Germany, studying at Southeastern through the university’s agreement with Reutlingen University in Germany.
