SOUTHEASTERN GENERAL STUDIES AWARD RECIPIENTS – Southeastern Louisiana University President Randy Moffett, far right, and Barbara Allen, dean of Southeastern Louisiana University’s Division of General Studies, far left, congratulate award recipients at the division’s annual honors convocation on April 29. Honorees include, from left, Katie Pellittieri of Ponchatoula, Undergraduate Senior Award for Academic Excellence; Amie Cuti of Tickfaw, Outstanding Graduate -- Associate in General Studies; Terri Ilgen of Hammond, Award for Excellence and Service; and Beverly Garrison of Albany, Undergraduate Junior Award for Academic Excellence.


     HAMMONDAmanda Murry of Albany and Julie Alley of Slidell received the Dean’s Award, the top honor in Southeastern Louisiana University’s Division of General Studies, at its honors convocation on April 29.

     Dean Barbara Allen announced that Murry was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in the general studies bachelor’s degree program, while Alley earned the honor for the associate degree program.

     Also at the annual recognition ceremony, the division’s Academic Awards for Excellence were presented to Michelle Chappetta of Mandeville (Undergraduate Sophomore Award), Beverly Garrison of Albany (Undergraduate Junior Award); and Katie Pellittieri of Ponchatoula (Undergraduate Senior Award).

     Amie Cuti of Tickfaw received the Associate in General Studies Outstanding Graduate honor while Kyle Stewart of Holden received the Bachelor of General Studies Outstanding Graduate award. Terri Ilgen of Hammond received the division’s Award for Excellence and Service.

     The division also recognized its students inducted into the 13 Club and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and academic honor list students.
