HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University students are invited to apply by Nov. 21 to attend the university’s annual three-day LEAD retreat in January.

Applications for the program, designed to help students discover and develop leadership skills, are available in the Office of Leadership Development and Student Activities, War Memorial Student Union, room 110.

“This three-day, two-night retreat offers students the opportunity to hone their leadership skills in a fast-paced, results oriented environment and brings together students and staff from a variety of backgrounds,” said Jackie Dale Thomas, director of Leadership Development and Student Activities.

The retreat, now in its 18th year, will be held at the Episcopal Conference Center in Robert Jan. 7-9. The cost to attend LEAD is $45, which covers travel, lodging, meals, materials and a LEAD t -shirt.

“There are a limited number of students who can attend and the attendees are selected based on their involvement and leadership potential, so it is important to register ASAP,” Thomas said.
