Southeastern SBDC hosts Veterans Day open house Nov. 11

HAMMOND -- The Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center will host a special open house for veterans on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The open house will be held at Southeastern’s Southeast Louisiana Business Center, 1514 Martens Drive in Hammond, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is being offered in conjunction with SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business,” a non-profit resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, said SBDC Assistant Director Sandy Summers.
“The open house will provide an opportunity for ‘vetrepreneurs’ to learn about small business assistance and related programs available to them,” she said. “Veterans will be able to get valuable information and materials on operating a small business as a vet, as well as schedule future business assistance sessions with an SBDC or SCORE consultant.”
