HAMMONDHigh school seniors and their parents are invited to Senior Day at Southeastern Louisiana University on Saturday, Oct. 18.

Hosted by the Office of Admissions, Senior Day is partnering for the first time with the university’s Homecoming celebration.

In addition to campus tours and informational sessions on admissions, financial aid, and scholarships, participants also will be treated to a tailgate and special performances in Friendship Circle, headquarters for Homecoming activities, including the Homecoming parade at 2 p.m., followed by the football team’s “Lion Walk.” Students and parents can also visit with Southeastern academic department heads and learn about the university’s housing facilities.

“By joining in our Homecoming activities, our Senior Day visitors will not only have the opportunity to learn about our campus and academic programs, but they will also get to experience Southeastern spirit,” Ranatza said. “We are inviting them to stay for the 6 p.m. Homecoming football game and cheer on the Lions as we take on Northwestern State in Strawberry Stadium.”

Check-in begins at 11 a.m. at the Pennington Student Activity Center on the corner of General Pershing Street and University Avenue.

Students can sign up online via the “Senior Day” button on the university’s home page, www.selu.edu. They can also find Senior Day on Southeastern’s page on Facebook or contact Admissions at 985-549-5637 for additional information.
