Students can learn money management at 'Deal or No Deal' workshop Tuesday

     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University students can learn how to manage money wisely at a special workshop, “Deal or No Deal,” sponsored by the Student Government Association and La Capitol Federal Credit Union.

     The student-only money management seminar will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m., in the Student Union Theater.

     SGA President Zealon Solomon said the event will include presentations on budgeting, credit cards, and financial decision-making.

     “All students who attend will have the opportunity to receive various prizes and giveaways and a chance to win $250,” Solomon said. “They will also receive $10 toward a LaCap checking account.”

     “We’ll also have refreshments and will end the night with a fun game of ‘Deal or No Deal,’” he said.

     Co-sponsors include Student Support Services, Delta Sigma Theta sorority and Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
