Feb. 16 final day for students to apply for spring 2009 graduation

HAMMOND – Monday, Feb. 16, is the final day that Southeastern Louisiana University students can apply to graduate in spring 2009. The graduation application and payment deadlines will be strictly enforced, university officials said.
Candidates for associate, bachelor, and master’s degrees can apply for graduation by logging into their Leonet campus accounts and choosing the ‘Apply for Graduation’ option. Instructions are available on the “Current Students” link (“Graduation Information – Apply for Graduation”) at www.selu.edu or by calling Southeastern’s Office of Records and Registration at 985-549-2066/62.
The $35 application fee should be paid directly to the Controller’s Office, located on North Campus in the Financial Aid Building.
The graduation application deadline has been extended for one day since the traditional deadline, Feb. 15, is a Sunday.
Spring commencement exercises are scheduled for May 16 at the University Center.
