SBDC hosts seminar on preventing workplace litigation

     HAMMONDThe Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center will host a seminar, “Preventing Harassment and Abuse Claims in the Workplace,” March 18.

     The Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center will host a seminar, “Preventing Harassment and Abuse Claims in the Workplace,” March 18. The conference will be held 9 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott on Hwy 190 in Covington. Co-sponsors are the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, and the St. Tammany West and East St. Tammany Chambers of Commerce.

     “The event will address ways for your business to combat harmful litigation that can cost you clients, time and money,” said SBDC Assistant Director Sandy Summers. Class topics will include sexual harassment, domestic violence and the workplace, workplace discrimination, and computer crimes in the workplace. 

     The seminar is free and participants will receive a certificate of completion.
