Exhibit showcases talents of Southeastern seniors

   HAMMOND – The artwork of Southeastern Louisiana University graduating seniors will be on display Nov. 19 to Dec. 12 at the university’s Contemporary Art Gallery in East Stadium.
   The exhibit features works by 26 art majors who will graduate in December. The artists will be honored at an opening reception Thursday, Nov. 19, 5-7 p.m. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. 
   Student artists exhibiting are Barbara Bolotte, Jonathon Bourgeois, Ashley Canale, Scott Gibson, Daniel Ippolito, Tom Nguyen Nguyen, and Joseph Riles of Hammond; Joshua Ernest, Megan Ory and Louis Tribou of Ponchatoula; Toni Nelson of Independence; Justin Barfield and Paul Tusa of Covington; Aleisha Phillips Harris, Marlon Harrison, Jeffery Marshall, Savannah Mueller and Lacey Schexnayder of Baton Rouge; Brittany Woods-Spinks of Livingston; Joseph Roussel of  LaPlace; Misty Plaisance of Gretna; Amy Osborn of Harahan; Lawrence Marley of Kenner; Natalie Dufrene of Harvey; Jeffrey Boyd of Holden; and Amanda Blouin of Gonzales.
   Contemporary Art Gallery hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. For additional information, call Dale Newkirk, gallery director, at 985-549-5080.
